That pesky upper low that’s been hanging around the last couple of days is still in the vicinity. It moved north of us yesterday, today it’s jogging back to the SE. But, never fear, the whole complex should move to our east over the next 24 hours or so, giving us dry and warmer weather for the rest of the work week into the weekend.
Did you note the high temperature for yesterday? 68 degrees! That’s roughly 20 degrees below normal! We haven’t seen below normal temperatures like that in quite awhile and is probably a record low for the date ( I only have 5 years of data for this location but nearby upper foothill locations show it to be a record low **). We also picked up another .01″ overnight, bringing us .23″ of rain for the year! Normal values for the date are only around .09″. So that means we’re above normal for the year. A great start to the rain season for sure.
Forecast-wise, after a slight chance of showers or T storms today, we should be improving to partly cloudy to clear skies for the rest of the week into the weekend.
Expect highs in the 80’s today, warming into the mid 80’s to around 90 by Thursday and into the weekend.
See you at the Nevada County Fair! 🙂
