64°F – Mostly clear and tranquil conditions are the weather words for the next several days. We are seeing a fairly progressive pattern for mid August as a low pressure trough lingers off the west coast sending minor disturbances through the pacific NW, dipping into far northern CA. That will bring us milder temperatures with highs only in the low to mid 80’s for the next few days.
By the weekend however, the coastal low will eject NE into the Intermountain west and out of our area. As a result, we should see warmer temperatures by the weekend. By Monday however, another low is forecast to dig south from British Columbia, cooling us down once again next week. At any rate, we should see just about picture perfect weather for the Nevada County Fair this week, not too hot, just seasonably warm, dry weather.
Foothill Forecast: Mostly clear and warm this week with highs in the low to mid 80’s through Thursday. Fair and warmer Friday through Sunday, with highs in the mid 80’s to low 90’s with no rain in sight for the time being.
